finally, all us YUM YUM guys are playing like a team again – with a new home it changed drastically, it was everything last weekend but the same old, same old. i loved it! the last 1,5 y have been hard dj wise, but only in munich, playing the big areas only – there was no way you could break any new non-super-appealing tunes to the crowd with a 1k+ crowd. you can only do this on smaller floors, like in the club we got now. i love watching it grow organically. ps. we actually do play like a real team does and its fucking awesome! it all started in munich so, this is where the sounds & mixes need to originate… where the other guys come to get an inspiration and collaborate with us. and we are on a very, very good way there. trust me, i can tell, even after only one night. its about the tunes and a certain feel to it all – a state of mind if you will >>> the timing, the routines and all that other stuff comes naturally. but bouncing from style to style while paying proper respect to all styles and showing knowledge – thats what its about

Hey dudes & dudettes,

wie einige schon erfahren haben, hat ab 2012 unser eigener Laden geöffnet. Die YUM YUM Mädels & Jungs & ihre Freunde haben einen eigenen Laden, in dem sie machen, was ihnen gefällt. Hier spielen unsere Freunde von nah und fern ;) Er befindet sich in der Thalkirchnerstr 2 (via gmaps) direkt am Sendlinger Tor im Herzen Münchens. Es handelt sich um die Räumlichkeiten der Ex- Ersten Liga, die wir umgebaut haben und immer wieder etwas umgestalten werden. Wir haben Silvester genutzt, um mal auszutarieren, was man noch so alles machen muss und was schon passt. Aber alles bleibt organisch und “Yip Yab heißt unser neuer Laden und steht für Tanzen – Punkt.” Man kann den Laden aber gerne auch weiterhin Ex Liga, Unser Laden, Tanzen Punkt oder auch Disco Rap 2000 nennen. Das macht jeder, wie er/sie mag :)

Sa 07/ 01/ 2012 – YUM YUM nano – Die etwas kleinere Ausgabe, die in einem familiärem Kreis stattfindet. Man kann sich endlich wieder auf Musik konzentrieren. YUM YUM Sound ab 2012 jeden ersten & dritten Samstag im Monat. Djs Max Mausser & D-Nice. 23h.

Mo 09/ 01/ 2012 – I like to movie movie – Filmclub 2000 - jeden zweiten & vierten Montag in unserem Laden. Kein Eintritt – Es laufen Filme aus der ganzen Welt, die man sehen muss, aber keinen Verleih in Deutschland haben. Heute: “No One knows about the Persian Cats”. Ein Film über eine persische Rockband im harten Alltag des Irans.

Hallo Zusammen,
wir haben zwei grosse News zu verkünden.
Zum Einen haben wir nach den vielen, verfeierten Locations einen eigenen Club, den wir ab dem 1.1.2012 unser Zuhause nennen. Der Umbau verlief so schnell und mit viel Staub in unseren Nasen, dass wir noch nicht mal einen Namen haben :) Der Laden liegt im Herzen der Stadt, Thalkirchnerstr 2, also direkt am Sendlinger Tor und dürfte allen bekannt sein als ehemalige Erste Liga. Wir waren selbst überrascht, diese Location bekommen zu haben und freuen uns umso mehr, wieder zentral und in heimatlicher Umgebung zu feiern. Aufgrund der Grösse wird nun wieder familiärer getanzt, getrunken und gefeiert. Unter anderem auch zu YUMYUM und das 2x im Monat, wie in der Registratur. Die Praterinsel werden wir als Sonnenterasse beibehalten, aber wegen der Größe nur ein paar Mal im Jahr. Es war dann doch die einzige Off Location, in der wir euch die Toiletten und den guten Sound mit gutem Gewissen anvertrauen können und so erwarten wir den Sommer in größter Freude.

Zum Anderen wird es dieses Jahr noch ein Silvester YUM YUM in unserem Club geben, das kurzfristig verabredet wurde. Die Djs sind Chrome, Max Mausser, D-Nice & Tand Williams. Die gesamte Familie findet sich an Silvester ein und läutet damit ein aufregendes und vor allem herzliches Neues Jahr ein, ohne grosse Experimente in Off Locations. Der Eintritt beträgt 1o€ und hier der Facebook Event um weitere Freunde einzuladen. Wir freuen uns sehr, mit euch gut und gesund zu rutschen und zu tanzen…

Ps die “Chaos Tage” vor Silvester (Do 29 + Fr 30 Dezember) haben wir auch schon geöffnet. Am Donnerstag machen wir einen grossen Umtrunk mit allen Djs die ab Januar bei uns auflegen, beginnend ab 23h. Am Freitag den 30 machen wir die “Allererste Silvester Party” :) mit unseren Shaolin Soul Residents & guten Freunden Marki, Jaws (Poets of Rhythm) & Taran auch ab 23h.

STORY First off, thanks again for coming down to last months birthday party. It was a great night with all friends and family, although i was drunk out of my mind shortly after midnight and i didnt get to enjoy the many cakes apart from sitting on one of them (still sorry for that). This is our 3rd & Final Date at Art Babel, any other spot, before we move into our own Club… place, room, call it what you want, and we are bringing all our friends along, to give our new home that collective YUM YUM state of mind. Most of us say it was about time. /// It has been an oddyssey with loads of bizarre off-locations and unmanagable obstacles. Mostly its been the egos of our many ‘nightlife’ partners,  but at the end of the day thats all over now and we want to celebrate with the many people who are YUM YUM / chrome music. We just wanna bring you the sets and sounds that we love and whenever we give people positive vibes through music, thats pretty much Mission Accomplished. There is no space at all for egos. And thats why you are probably here, reading this because you are YUM YUM.

PARTY INFO So, this Saturday December 3rd, for one last time, enjoy the famous Kalkutta-like bathrooms of Art Babel, dusted Soundsystems, barstaff which is old enough to be your little brothers hipster BFFs and of course the impeccable biological ART on display uopn the walls ;) No seriously, we will all have a great time!

MUSIC Decembers new YUM YUM top tunes will be online on Friday and as always an indicator to what we will play. Djs will be myself & D-Nice to get a proper*proper dance going. Lets see if Not:fx can make it, he is feeling better already after getting severly bruised last week. S*it happens! Get well soon, buddy! But the rest of the family will definitely be here as you can see from this Masterpiece of a Variant Flyer. LOL After so many technical difficulties, server was under attack, for the past 2 weeks, chromemusic is fully operating again and a on mission, best upon us by the Lord, (that is of course the metamorphing Alien Ninja Zombie Jesus) to bring you the best 49 tunes of the past 7 years! YUM YUM Soul Break # 1 by Chrome (James & Bobby Purify, Freddie Scott, the Marvelettes), taken from our latest Mixtape “The Dude“. This is the first Soul Breakdown, pretty short at that, but its will be an entire series (10 parts) and if you paste them all together you will get one long Mixtape.

Last weekends chromemusic bday party was really, really nice and it was great to see all and everybody again, and i am still amazed that almost everyone contributed a new mixtape (8 in total, + counting my new YUM YUM mixtape, act even 9!). really did like that a lot and i guess we are gonna repeat that mixtape campaign and that very same party pretty soon. i was too drunk, too soon …again. felt like lights out by 1 am, but HONESTLY thx for all the cake and all the bday wishes and all the friendly, lovely faces that showed up, and once again i am a bit sorry but we had to close the doors at 2am for a good 2 hours. the place simply isnt as big as the regular YUM YUM venues. I kinda liked it there, so before we get our own club going in the next months or so, this is definitely a spot i’ll hit up once more – namely december 3rd. see you all in a few weeks for another lovely midnight dance

PS 1 – thats pretty much the first party in a long time without a proper facebook campaign, i invited about 30 people, the rest happened by itself. i like that, cause i dont want to use facebook no more to invite people. simply sucks and its annoying as hell. it works very well without these millions of facebook invites. i’ll stick to it.

PS 2 – YUM YUM Munich is going to continue from next year on a regular basis, PS in the middle of the city! took us some time to figure out how and where, but its settled now and that works! YOu are gonna like it, we all agreed on it! No spoilers yet!

STORY This week our website chromemusic turns 7 and we are gonna celebrate that in multiple ways! our music blog started on November 2nd 2004, ever since we have had our first top tunes post, the regular posts started in jan of 05 and  it wasn’t even a blog at first, it was based on dreamweaver and was a regular website with a blog like skin. in short it was a pain in the ass to have it running like that. but its (kind of) easier now but we have been doing it for a full 7 years now! SO YAAAY!

BIRTHDAY GIFTS As a little birthday gift to all our friends (and make sure to put your iphones on SWAG), by saturday, we will have SEVEN(!) or more new mixtapes online by me, schowi, tand williams, max, notfx, deniz ‘d-nice’, dan gerous, tommy, tipura and i think even more of our chromemusic / YUM YUM djs. and i’ll let you vote the best one. And next week we will have our YUM YUM Top tunes of the last 7 years online. We will pick the best 7 of the last 7 years and make it the Top 49 Tunes since the beginning of our website.

PARTY INFO And yes, even if we don’t usually celebrate birthdays i think 7 is a lucky number, especially after accomplishing the 7th year (!) and therefore we are having a celebration with me & deniz (d-nice) on the turntables and the rest of the crew (at the bar i guess). kind of a surprise & short notice thing for everyone since i only came up with it yesterday (!). I like it soulful people and i tend to make the whole night on a more soulful tip. You know what, i’ll just make my mixtape like that and you’ll hear what i mean.

INVITE FRIENDS: I havent made a facebook event for it, not yet, not even sure if i will (maybe a small one for friends) – i got so tired by those mass invitations on facebook. they fucking annoy me to be honest.  i’ll post it here so we can all invite our peoples and kinda make it personal. (***I made a small event, / Seven years of chromemusic birthday party / still open for personal invites but no mass invites please!***)

LOCATION & DATE: The weathers gonna be brilliant this Saturday (in munich at least) with a promised 20 degrees & a whole lotta sunshine, so we’ll just hang out outside at Art Babel biergarten in the evening, before we get the dance going and open the doors at 11:11 pm . How to get to Art Babel is very very simple/ heart of the city. and what we need to do is OCCUPY Art Babel it. Lol, no seriously i am really looking forward to play some of the latest and some of the rare soulful stuff that i have and that came kind of short lately -  to get a proper*proper dance going.
