With the Manchester debut looming I thought we’d better pull our fingers out and get a mix done! I’m really feeling the B-more vibe at the moment, but there’s a lot of great music out there right now. I couldn’t resist dropping Little Boots… and not just because I’m secretly in love with her  I also had to include Tonka’s treatment of MGMT at the end, love that mix.

The “skills” are a bit rusty but I’m hoping the tunes will make up for it… enjoy!

Yum Yum Leicester@Superfly, April 4th

Following a great night last month with Not:FX (Munich) the next Yum Yum Leicester will be Saturday April 4th @ Superfly.

This month will see Tand Williams (Yum Yum Duisburg) bring some noise and go back to back with Leicester resident Medley. Not:FX really set the bar last time round, but I’m sure Herr Williams will survive Manchester and deliver the goods. Check out Tand’s latest mix for Duisburg’s 3rd Birthday last month… it’s a goodie.

Doors open at 11pm so make sure you get down early and grab Yum Yum UK Vol2 exclusive mix CD mixed by Tand Williams, Chrome, Medly and Steve Ill Kinevil & Robzilla, limited numbers to give away!

Comic and Recap of Leicester 21st Feb

Things started slowly in Leicester on Saturday, but despite the cold people started to hit the club in earnest at 12.30. Once they were in however, Not:FX and Medley made sure they stayed on the floor. Even though it was the first time they’ve played together the music was right on point, and Not:FX definitely showed the new Yum Yum crowd what it’s all about.

It seemed that we had caused some arguments down at Superfly too… all the barstaff were fighting to work the bar in the main room after hearing the CD! Our man Tom in Leicester tells us the CDs were flying out of the bar the week before, and several boutiques are already itching for more.

So all in all a great start to Yum Yum in the UK, everyone is looking forward to the next party and new dates will be up soon, in the meantime check out the comic of the night

A big thanks goes out to Tom and Bryn @ Superfly for looking after us, Medley for sharing his booth, and of course Not:FX for making the trip to come rock our first night… the bar has been set ladies and gentlemen!
