short recap of YUM YUM Kswiss Stopout in Vienna

It was the hottest day of the year, so the city was deserted and about everything that could move fled the city. we had a great time though with tilman, tand, beware and me and schowi spinning. nice trip to the ever loving people of vienna. we had a blast and will be back with a regular YUM YUM in a regular location about late September/ October. This was a one off for the Kswiss tees we just released.

This August we are doing our long announced summer 5 stops tour – 4 cities in Germany and Vienna being the 5th. Like last year we are puting out 3 new tshirts through kswiss, designed by our friends Smal & Paze, Zonders and LenaSeb. We are excited to meet up with old and new friends and do another fruitful partnership with Kswiss since the first one was relly nice and uncomplicated (ps didnt get paid for saying this) – and a whole bunch of nice tees came out of it. thanks for backing our material.

YUM YUM Vienna – Sommerfest @WUK – “Love Remastered” Tourstart

Dieses Jahr gestehen sich Yum Yum und K-Swiss wieder ihre Liebe zur Musik und präsentieren die „Love Remastered“ Tour 2009.

Am 01.08.09 startet die Tour bei uns in Wien mit unserem YUM YUM Sommerfest:

Sofern uns das Wetter keinen Strich durch die Rechnung macht, beginnen wir ab 17h im schattigen Hof des WUK mit Papa Tilman und seinen sommerlichen Reggea, Soca und Island Vibes im Freien. Ab ca. 22h öffnen wir die Tore zum Forum, wo euch TAND WILLIAMS (YUM YUM NRW) und ein voluntäres Kollektiv seiner Kollegen einen Sundowner aus Soul, Funk, Reggae, Feelgood Tunes und Versions mixen. Im großen Saal entlädt sich dann die angestaute Hitze in einem Sound- und SommerRegen a la YUM YUM mit den DJs BEWARE, FUNCTIONIST, CHROME (YUM YUM München) und SHOWI (YUM YUM Berlin).

Zum Tourstart launchen K-Swiss und Yum Yum zudem eine limitierte T-Shirt-Linie, exklusiv designt von den angesagtesten Grafikstudios der Stunde. Neben den mittlerweile international bekannten „The Zonders“ haben sich auch „smal&paze“ von Klassikern inspirieren lassen und präsentieren Tour-Shirts zum verlieben.

Die T-Shirts erhaltet ihr bei „COMMON PEOPLE“ (Kirchengasse 40/2 1070 Wien). Jede/r Käufer/in eines Shirts erhält zudem freien Eintritt am 01.08.09 im WUK.

Our peoples from YUM YUM Vienna Dj Beware & Motorpitch just made this amazing Kevin Little rmx, tried and tested, works just fine, in aUk Funky vibe, with drums and all, it s a neat little summer gem. Gnarling bassline buildup and much more that works the track until everyone starts moving and vibrating like a Nokia -lol.  Puts the shine in any summer jam. YUM YUM Sommerfest Munich this Wednesday June 10th – all Infos & FAQs

What: YUM YUM Sommerfest w Open Air Area – this Wednesday, June 10th

Djs: From 4  YUM YUM Cities. Chrome, Not:fx & Schu (Munich), Schowi (Berlin), Beware (Vienna) & Kamikaze (Shanghai).

3 Areas: The Main YUM YUM Floor, the Open Air Area & a smaller Top Friend Floor.

Where: Kongesshalle – Theresienhöhe 15, right behind this old lady on the Oktoberfest. Kongresshalle on Google Maps.

Start: Doors will be open @ 9pm (Open Air Area). Main rooms open @ 11pm.

If it rains: Won’t affect the main rooms. The Open Air Area is protected by waterproof parasols.

How to get there: There is a parking spot within walking distance, no more than 2-3 min right on Theresienwiese aka Oktoberfest (enough room for 1500 cars).  Easy to reach by bike and a bus is going there – line 153.

Specials: Great Open Air Area with a great Soundsystem – will be open all night long!!

Catering: There is a great catering & BBQ waiting, with even vegetarian food on spot. Unlike other off locations, cigarettes are sold on the spot.

YUM YUM Sommerfest gift: A ton of new YUM YUM Vol 9 Mixtapes/ CDs will be handed out at the entry, unlike last friday, where the supplys only lasted for half an hour. PS!!! Join the YUM YUM Munich Facebook group to get a download link in advance.
